So, Ryan was the best candidate to take his place. Fans love him as the host. However, Pat will always have a special place in viewers’ hearts. Ryan recently lost his father. This was devastating for him. He revealed this on social media, and fans instantly started sending good thoughts his way.

Ryan Seacrest has opened up about the heartbreaking holiday season he is going to have this year. This is the first year without his father.
“I’m not quite sure what it’ll be like yet because we haven’t been there to experience a Christmas without him. But we’ll certainly honor him. We’ll keep our traditions of making a Caesar salad that he always used to love to do. Pour a little glass of red wine, his favorite, and toast to him,”
This is his family’s first time without his father. So, it is going to be different. However, they are not sure how it is going to be exactly, but it will not be the same. They miss him greatly.
It seems as though Ryan is not sure how Christmas is going to be this year. He knows it is going to be different since this is the first year his dad is not here. However, they are going to do a couple of things in his honor. Fans feel bad for him. However, a lot of them have been in this position and are sending him advice and good thoughts.
