Shaq Sends Caitlin Clark A Blunt Message That Has The Rest Of The WNBA Talking
Shaq thinks things will change for Caitlin Clark soon.
Caitlin Clark’s meteoric rise has drawn jealousy from other WNBA players. While she’s not the best in the league yet, the media coverage she’s been getting has arguably irked other, more established stars.
Just a couple of nights ago, Chicago Sky star DiJonai Carrington intentionally bumped Clark after the latter sank a contested three-pointer. While there’s history between the two, the Fever superstar let her game do the talking instead.
And she proved it, too, by scoring 37 points and sinking 8 out of 12 threes on that particular night.

With the extra attention the WNBA is getting these days, of course, many more eyes are on the league than in previous years. And it’s safe to say that Caitlin Clark’s arrival made an impact in that department.
Whether the extra physicality she gets is unfair or not, Shaquille O’Neal offered Clark advice that could help her in the long term.
“There’s girls that are going, ‘You don’t talk about me like that, you talk about her.’ You gotta take advantage of that opportunity,” O’Neal told Fox News Digital in an interview.
“You have to go at who they think the best is. If you got other people coming at her, then it is what it is. Once she gets through this next year and keeps playing the way she’s playing, they’ll have no choice but to love and accept it,” he added.
Shaq also acknowledged that Clark does end up getting extra shots from her opponents. However, he’s quick to shut it down if there are bad intentions aimed at the Fever guard. Instead, he brushed it off by saying, “But this is what we call rites of passage.”
“We don’t just let youngsters come in and take over because they’re getting all the props from the media,” he continued.

If Clark ever feels that the WNBA may be too harsh for her within the next few years, maybe she can dip her toes into acting.
After the Chicago Sky-Indiana Fever game, Clark shared a hug and additional pleasantries with Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis. The veteran actor is a fan of the Indiana Fever, particularly their star Caitlin Clark.
With Ted Lasso tackling women’s sports in its latest season, would there be room for a Clark cameo? There’s none confirmed – yet. But maybe it’s an option, should it become feasible for both parties.
