Cut to today, and she is now at the center of a cryptocurrency scandal.

Haliey Welch’s X/Twitter account has been suspended following a controversial cryptocurrency scandal. After a lengthy investigation into her involvement with the ‘$HAWK token,’ Welch was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing by the SEC.

It allowed her to return to the public eye. However, her reintegration into the social media landscape was short-lived, as her account was suddenly suspended.

The scandal that thrust Welch into infamy began when her meme coin ‘$HAWK token’ rapidly gained immense popularity, only to experience a catastrophic drop in value shortly after its launch.

For those who might have missed the rollercoaster ride, she launched her $HAWK meme coin in late 2024. And it started with an incredible buzz, reaching a whopping $490 million market cap.

However, things took a turn for the worse when the coin plummeted by more than 90% in just a matter of hours, leaving many of her followers in shock.

Some were pretty upset about their finances. One person even shared their story of losing $35,000, which only fueled the online backlash.

This led to accusations against Welch and the team behind the coin of executing a ‘rug pull.’ It’s a notorious scheme where creators sell their holdings en masse, leading to substantial financial losses for investors.

As lawsuits emerged from disgruntled investors and the SEC initiated an investigation, Welch’s reputation hung in the balance.

Despite the suspension of her Twitter account, Haliey Welch’s legal fate appears to have turned in her favor. Her lawyer confirmed that she will not face any charges from the SEC.

This decision clears her name and leaves her free to pursue ventures related to crypto or securities in the future.

This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.

One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.

He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.

He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.
