Luka Doncic Breaks Silence On Los Angeles Lakers’ Championship Hopes Ahead Of NBA Playoffs

The Los Angeles Lakers have stormed into the playoffs in style. Despite some rocky patches during the regular season, the purple and gold brigade managed to peak just at the right time. With 50 wins and 32 losses, the Lakers ended up 3rd in the West, ahead of the Denver Nuggets. Now, ahead of the playoffs, the fans are pretty much excited to see their favorite Lakers take the field and advance further into the competition. Thus, when asked about the same from Luka Doncic, he had an interesting answer to give.

Luka Doncic came into the Lakers’ side as one of the biggest acquisitions in NBA trade history. But he never disappointed. Teaming up with the likes of LeBron James, Doncic steered the Lakers to some big victories.

Speaking on their championship possibilities, Doncic stated, “I think we have a great team. We have guys who are willing to go to war. Everybody is staying together, the chemistry is high. So I think we, for sure, have a chance.”

Surely, this was one of the most important updates coming from Doncic. And he does have a point indeed. With the likes of Rui Hachimura, Austin Reaves, and more joining in, the Lakers will surely be a team to watch out for. Meanwhile, a former NBA player has put Doncic on blast for not performing upto the mark.

Rashad McCants Lashes Out At Luka Doncic

Rashad McCants, a former NBA star, recently appeared on the ‘Gil’s Arena’ podcast. Speaking about the Lakers, McCants stated that he did not think Doncic was doing enough for the Lakers to win the championship. The former NBA star also accused Doncic’s style of play of not completely aligning with that of the Lakers.

“They’re gonna have to do what they did with LeBron. They gotta stack him with superstar players to give him more of an advantage to win championships. Because the way he plays basketball is not championship basketball,” McCants said.

Surely, Rashad’s take on the matter was controversial. After all, so far, the Lakers’ fans will feel that Luka Doncic has done just enough to support the Lakers’ cause. However, fans will need to wait and watch what awaits in the future.

This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.

One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.

He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.

He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.
