At the 2025 WNBA Draft, Paige Bueckers and Nika Mühl stunned fans with their dazzling appearances. Bueckers, the No. 1 overall pick by the Dallas Wings, wore a custom rhinestone-embellished Coach suit, while Mühl, drafted by the Seattle Storm, showcased her signature style. Their glamorous looks and undeniable chemistry have taken social media by storm, leaving fans buzzing with excitement.
Paige Bueckers was selected with the top overall pick in this year’s WNBA Draft, and the UConn guard and recent national championship winner wasn’t alone to celebrate the occasion.
Bueckers was joined by former Connecticut teammates, including Nika Muhl and Aaliyah Edwards. Muhl and Edwards were both drafted last year and have played their rookie season, and they welcomed Bueckers to the league with open arms.
“4,281 miles to support the homies INDEED,” Muhl said on Instagram, posting photos from her and Edwards’ night with Bueckers at the Draft.
“My twin is the best ever,” Bueckers said in a comment.
Bueckers, Muhl and Edwards were on multiple Final Four teams together at UConn, but the Huskies were able to put things together this season to take home the national title. The Huskies defeated South Carolina with a blowout win in the national title game, as Bueckers ended her college career with a storybook finish.
She now joins a Dallas Wings team in the midst of a rebuild, looking to return to the postseason after hitting the bottom of the league standings. The Wings have been led by perennial All-Star and former Notre Dame star Arike Ogunbowale.
They added last year’s Most Improved Player in DiJonai Carrington, as well as a former top pick in NaLyssa Smith. Smith spent last season with last year’s No. 1 pick Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, making their way to the playoffs after a long absence.

Bueckers will look to have a similar impact on the Wings in her rookie season. She’ll enter the WNBA as the fifth No. 1 draft pick to come from Connecticut, following in the footsteps of players like Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Maya Moore and Breanna Stewart.
All four previous top picks to come from the program became superstars and players who defined eras in the league. Bueckers has been expected to follow in those footsteps since she committed to UConn as a freshman.
As she begins her first season in the league, we’ll see if she can live up to the hype. Bueckers and the Wings will start the season on May 16 against one of last season’s finalists in the Minnesota Lynx. They’ll face Muhl and the Seattle Storm for the first time a few days later on May 19.
